October is Tacoma Arts Month and we are celebrating by exploring three-dimensional artwork and designing our very own cars.
“Why are you sitting in a box? It’s not a box!” For this month’s Family STEAM Day, we’ll be inspired by the children’s story “Not a Box” and use our imaginations to make car sculptures with cardboard boxes and other recycled materials.
Design, build, tinker and learn together as you explore the world of automobiles and its relation to science, technology, engineering, art and math. On the third Saturday of each month, you and your child, grandchild, or family can spend quality time together exploring activities available in the Education Studio and Family Zone.
Free, with Museum admission.
Don’t miss the other fun events going on Saturday, October 21, including the Trunk or Treat Cruise-In and Member Double Discount Day!
