Let’s party like it’s 1929! Calling on all rum runners, moonshiners and bootleggers! For one night only, prohibition in Tacoma is to be formally re-ratified in an evening of hush-hush drinking and costumed-cavorting at America’s Car Museum.
Obsessively prepared, passionately executed and prohibition inspired, Tacoma’s best chefs will be preparing bites of what Prohibition food means to each of them. We are excited to partner with Dirty Oscar’s Annex, Cooks Tavern, Southern Kitchen,Carrs, Hello Cupcake and Original House of Donuts.
From Sidecars to South Sound fizzes, we celebrate the past, the progression and the craftsmanship of culture surrounding hooch and its evolution to the beer, wine and cocktails of today. Tastings will feature libations from Heritage Distilling Co., Copperworks Distilling Company, Glass Distillery, Temple Distilling, Jim Beam, Gig Harbor Brewing, Pacific Brewing, Narrows Brewing Company, Elysian, Budweiser, Hedges Family Estate and more to come!
Seattle six piece Good Co is the United States’ first live Electro Swing Band. That new old sound, Electro Swing combines the era of illicit booze, jitterbugging flappers and underground speakeasies with the funky beats and the electric sound of today’s dance music. At Good Co performances it’s quite common for such things as beatboxing harmonica jams, onstage dance parties and crowd sing-alongs to spontaneously break out.
Who better to end the night than America’s #1 Lynyard Skynyrd Tribute Band Whiskey River. For nearly four decades, Whiskey River’s musicians have thrilled audiences all over America playing the music of the legendary southern-rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. Re-creating the image and the music of the southern rock band that took the world by storm in the 1970’s. Whiskey River not only plays Lynyrd Skynyrd, they personify the group onstage.
Other things to expect: Gaming tables, selfie “Moonshine Runner” car and more!
