Design, build, tinker, and learn together as you explore the world of automobiles and its relation to science, technology, engineering, and math. On the third Saturday of each month, you and your child, grandchild, or family can spend quality time together exploring activities available in the Education Studio and Family Zone.
In May, join Pierce County Library & ACM staff as they showcase the library’s Science to Go! backpack program for youth ages 3-9. The backpacks include books and fun experiments that teach Next Generation Science Standards. ACM staff will conduct one of the backpack experiments by making marshmallow launchers to explore the concepts of motion and force. Visitors may also test the physics of speed on the pinewood derby ramp in the Family Zone or enjoy another opportunity to interact with the SOTA Bots and test drive their robots.
Free, with Museum admission.
