At America’s Car Museum\, we value the opportunity to act as a gathering place for military personnel\, their friends\, and families to come together in their leisure time and share their appreciation for car culture. \nACM invites members of all branches of the military\, retired or active\, to spend Armed Forces Day at the Museum. We will be offering COMPLIMENTARY admission to all those who actively serve or have served. \n*Complimentary admission on Armed Forces Day is only valid for past or present members of the military and does not include spouses\, family members\, friends\, etc. \nTake your experience to the next level and explore membership opportunities at ACM with an available 10% discount at all membership levels for any retired or active member of the military.

SUMMARY:Family STEAM Days - Robot Design Challenge featuring the SOTAbots
DESCRIPTION:Members of The SOTAbots (a Washington robotics team combining nontraditional High School students from The Industrial Design and Engineering Arts School (iDEA)\, School of the Arts (SOTA) and Tacoma Science and Math Institute (SAMi)) will be at the museum talking with visitors about designing\, programming and building robots. Create your own designs in our Bot Design Challenge and learn how the FIRST Robotics Competition program works. The team will have building materials for visitors to test their robotics skills and smaller robots to engage with. \nDesign\, build\, tinker and learn together as you explore the world of automobiles and its relation to science\, technology\, engineering\, art and math on Family STEAM Day. On the third Saturday of each month\, you and your child\, grandchild\, or family can spend quality time together exploring activities available in the Education Studio and Family Zone. \nFamily STEAM Days are free for ACM Members and is also included with Museum admission. Museum visitors age 18 and under receive FREE admission on Family STEAM Days.
