After much anticipation, we’re thrilled to announce that the official LeMay – America’s Car Museum Washington State specialty license plate is now available to sport on your favorite vehicle!

And no, this isn’t the black Washington throwback plate you may already recognize.

LeMay – America’s Car Museum originally helped design the popular throwback-inspired plate that was ultimately adopted by Washington State. Now, we’ve created something all our own: an official ACM specialty plate that lets you proudly represent the Museum and Washington’s car culture everywhere you drive.

Ours is more than a license plate. It’s a plate with a purpose.

When you purchase an ACM plate, you’re directly supporting our 501(c)(3) nonprofit museum, and our work to preserve and share America’s automotive story, provide hands-on automotive education, and create career pathways for future generations. We are proud to say it is also one of only two specialty license plates in the entire country dedicated to a car museum, making it a unique symbol of pride for Washington’s automotive community and the Pacific Northwest.

When you choose a personalized ACM plate, the standard “LM” designation goes away, giving you all seven characters to create a plate that’s uniquely yours.
