If Cars Could Talk: Automobile Customization

December 1, 2015 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

IMG_1792

There are many chapters to the story of the automobile. If cars could talk, they might just share stories we never imagined.

Each month, our speaker will pick a car and offer a fascinating peek into its history. Join us the first Tuesday of each month, and explore the story of cars with Museum curators, staff, or local personalities over lunch.

There is no better barometer for trends in society than a custom car. From its inception, the automobile has been a favored platform for free expression. The inspiration for modifications is as much a reflection of cultural identity as it is a need to fulfill a practical challenge.

Come hear ACM’s Curator of Exhibitory Scot Keller and Jason Rushforth, president of Rushforth Wheels in Tacoma, discuss old and new trends in automotive customization.
