STEM Summer Programs
July 5 – 8 2022 | 9 am – 4 pm Daily
Rising 6th – 9th graders are invited to explore science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) at America’s Car Museum! Campers will design, build, experiment and create during this fun-filled week of programming. Sign up for one day or join us for the whole week! Registration includes all necessary materials and a snack.

- TUESDAY JULY 5 | Pinewood Derby Cars
This one-day workshop offers rising 6th-9th graders the chance to build their very own pinewood derby cars from scratch. With the help of the ACM Education team, participants will design, build, and race their cars in this fun-filled, all-day workshop at the Museum.
- WEDNESDAY JULY 6 | 3D Modeling and Printing
From car parts to medical devices, toys to tools, the possibilities are endless with 3D printing! Rising 6th-9th graders are invited to join the ACM Education team for a one-day workshop learning all about 3D modeling and printing. Participants will learn about the history of 3D printing, see a few 3D printers in action, familiarize themselves with computer automated design (CAD) software, and design their very own model car to print and take home!
- THURSDAY JULY 7 | Intro to Automotive Maintenance
Learning to drive a car is a really exciting time in any young person’s life, but learning to take care of a car is almost just as important! Rising 6th-9th graders can join the ACM Education team for a one-day workshop covering all the basics of automotive maintenance! Participants will roll-up their sleeves and learn how to check tire pressure, change a tire, check the oil, jump a battery, build an emergency kit, get a car squeaky clean, and much more!
- FRIDAY JULY 8 | Hoods Up! Engine Workshop
This one-day workshop offers rising 6th-9th graders the chance to get their hands dirty and learn about vehicles and their engines! With the help of the ACM Education team, participants will tear down and rebuild a small gasoline-powered engine in this fun-filled, all-day workshop at the Museum.
