If Cars Could Talk – 50th Anniversary of the Shelby GT500

April 4, 2017 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Free

There are many chapters to the story of the automobile. If cars could talk, they might just share stories we never imagined. Each month, our speaker will pick a car and offer a fascinating peek into its history. Join us the first Tuesday of each month, and explore the story of cars with Museum curators, staff, or local personalities over lunch.

Like ACM, the story of the Shelby GT500 is part art and part science. In 1967, Shelby and Ford combined efforts to produce a powerful performance pony car that would beat the competition on the track. This is the story of the Shelby GT500 1967-2017 as told by ACM Volunteer Heidi Geise and Special Guest Missy Willert.

Free, with Museum admission. Bring a lunch, or enjoy a meal from Classics by Pacific Grill.
